Upon graduation, he joined the Suggs & Kelly law firm. Steve's achievements included managing the largest non-mass tort caseload of any associate, handling between 25 to 30 active cases at a time. Also while at Suggs & Kelly, Steve managed a mix caseload of medical malpractice, rollover litigation, and trucking accident cases.

At Janet, Jenner and Suggs Law firm, Steve continued his litigation work. He is now South Carolina Appleseed Legal Justice Center's lead litigation attorney. Since 2008, Steve has worked diligently at SC Appleseed to represent those needing legal actions through the court system.
