Porter Barron
Porter Barron is writer and researcher at South Carolina Appleseed Legal Justice Center. He is a Columbia native who graduated from the University of the South in 1997 and Columbia University School of Journalism in 2001. Shortly after receiving his M.S. in Journalism, he relocated to Phnom Penh, Cambodia, where he worked as a journalist and researcher for about six years, with in-between stints covering Afghanistan and South Carolina's 2008 presidential primaries. While in Cambodia, he also enjoyed co-hosting Indochina's only Heavy Metal radio program.
