A.O.Y. CELEBRATION!

Friends, family and colleagues celebrated as Victoria L. Eslinger, Esq., received the SC Appleseed Legal Justice Center's annual Advocate of the Year 2009 award Wednesday evening, September 16th, 2009. Held at Ms. Eslinger's law firm of Nexsen Pruet, there were tales of Vickie's tenacity in pursuing social justice--starting with her desire to be a page in the SC state senate's chamber of all-male pages. Still a student, Vickie challenged and changed the law-allowing females to serve as pages, and began an illustrious career finding justice for those seeking equal treatment under the law. Beyond the festivities and humorous stories of Vickie's take-no-prisoners determination was the underlying spirit of a true advocate, deserving of this honor. Again, we salute Victoria L. Eslinger, Esq., as our Advocate of the Year 2009, and share a glimpse of the celebration.

Three AOY honorees.

AOY Honorees: Kenneth M. Suggs, Esq. (2006), Vickie L. Eslinger, Esq. and I.S. Leevy Johnson, Esq. (2008).

AOY friends, family, and colleagues enjoy all the festivities.
